Poem - Beautiful

BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful is told "You’re stupid"
Beautiful is told "You’re ugly"
 
Beautiful is told "You’re not good enough"
Beautiful is told "You’re nothing"
 
Beautiful is told "You’re heart is filthy & evil"
Beautiful is told "You’re not worth it"
 
Beautiful is told to stay silent
Beautiful is told "You’re a bother"
 
Beautiful is told "You’re useless"
Beautiful is told "You’re a burden"
 
And beautiful believes it.

But one day

Beautiful begins to wake up
 
And…
 
Beautiful hears "You’re brilliant"
Beautiful hears "You’re attractive"
 
Beautiful hears "You’re more than good enough"
And Beautiful hears "You are everything"
 
And Beautiful hears "You’re heart is good & kind"
And Beautiful hears "You are worthy treasure"
 
And Beautiful hears "Speak and let me hear you"
And beautiful hears "You are wonderful"
 
And Beautiful hears "You are so valuable"
And beautiful hears "You are the one who is strong"
 
And Beautiful begins to believe it

And Beautiful wakes up.
