Poem - Walk to the End of Your Life

Occasionally

I will walk to the end

Of my life

As I stand there

And look back

I stand overwhelmed

With grief

There were so many things...

That I had wanted to do

In my life

That never got done

So many things...

But I said I would try

That remain

Unknown

So many doors…

To go through

Yet I tested

So

Few

And now here

At the end

Of my life...

It's too late.

Then

I walk back

To the now

Of my life

As I stand and

Look ahead

I see all

I can do

And be,

And try

And know, And I vow

That when I reach

The end of

Of my life

I will not

look back

And have

the words on

my lips

I wish I had...

But

I'm glad

I did.
